Trauma and Specialist Hospital donates to village

The Management of Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba has donated assorted items and cash to Rafiki Methodist Village at Gyahadzie in Effutu Municipality.

The donation is the hospital’s contribution towards the up-keep of the less privilege children under the care of the home.

The items valued Ghc2,500.00 includes footwear, used clothing, soap, and cash of Ghc1,000.00.

Ms Sophia Blankson, Nurse Manager of the Hospital, who made the donation said it formed of the social and core responsibilities of the health facility and expressed the hope that would go a long way to assist managers of the village in taking care of the children.

Mrs Alice Ansan, Headmistress of the village, who received the items thanked the hospital for the kind gesture.

In an interview with Ghana News Agency, Mr Allan Seth Anku, Administrator of the hospital, said the facility is battling with inadequate doctors, non-availability of operation vehicle and a welfare bus.

He appealed to Ministry of Health to create enabling environment for the hospital to operate.
