Transnational Education Ghana receives British Accreditation

The Transnational Education (TNE) Africa Company Limited through TNE Ghana Limited has received an International Higher Education accreditation from the British Accreditation Council (BAC).

A statement issued in Accra by Ms Mary Anne Amoah, Marketing Manager, Lancaster University Ghana, said the accreditation was valid for a four year term.

It said TNE has become the first and only education provider on African mainland to have attained the BAC accreditation.

It said as an independent body set up in 1984, the BAC acts as the UK national accrediting body for independent further and higher education.

The statement said “its accreditation is a well?established, international quality assurance scheme and is regarded by students and agencies throughout the world as one of the most reliable guides in selecting a higher education institution in which to study.”

The statement said the institution satisfied requirements in all six areas of the BAC examination including Governance, Strategy and Financial Management, Academic Management and Administration, and Learning Resources and Quality Management.

Professor John Grainger, Provost, Lancaster University Ghana and President, TNE Africa Company Limited, was quoted as saying that, with an endorsement of the institution’s robust education system in place, they were now ever more ready to welcome international enrollments

The successful accreditation by the BAC provides TNE Africa’s Ghana campus with many benefits and advantages across the sub-Saharan education market.
