At least five people are reportedly dead in a gory road crash at Asikuma Junction in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region.
According to details of the crash shared by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), in addition to the five people who died, four others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The service stated that the crash, which happened on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, involved a tipper truck and a Toyota Noah vehicle.
“A rescue team, led by AstnO Fred Aganu, accompanied by the Acting District Fire Officer, ADO I Godwin Gbedemah, was dispatched to the scene.
“The accident involved a grey Toyota Noah with registration number GX 422-25 and a tipper truck with registration number GT 725-19,” the GNFS wrote in a post shared on Facebook on Tuesday.

It added, “Out of a total of nine (9) casualties, four (4), including a minor, were successfully rescued by the team and transported to the Peki Government Hospital by the National Ambulance Service. The remaining five (5) were, however, unresponsive and were handed over to the police.”
Pictures from the scene of the crash shared by the GNFS showed the Toyota Noah vehicle completely mangled.
The vehicle had completely caved in, with its frontage totally destroyed.
