The people of Busunya soon to have own market

Busunya (B/A) Dec. 24, GNA - The chiefs and people of Busunya in Nkoranza North District are constructing a market to promote revenue generation towards the rapid development of the district.

The project, yet to be completed is estimated at GHC 10,000 and is funded by contributions of GHC 2 per local household. Mr. Benjamin Adu Darko, Presiding Member of Nkoranza North District Assembly, in an address at the inauguration, commended opinion leaders in the community for their foresight and vision towards the growth of the district.

He disclosed that the assembly would support the project with GHC 5,000 and would provide the necessary structures in the market. Mr. Darko called on the Assembly Members to educate the people to patronize the market to enable the District Assembly generate enough revenue for development.

Oheneba Kingsley Yeboah, Busunya Central Committee Chairman, announced the opening of a transport station in the market and called on the management of transport unions to encourage drivers to patronize it. Nana Baffoe Korkor, Chief of Bomiri, called on the youth to be sincere and honest in their dealings with traders at the market and to avoid negative practices.
