There is tension among fourteen communities in the Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region over the indiscriminate sale of farmlands of some real estate companies by some ‘unscrupulous’ people.

Some of the affected communities are Ashifla, Nsuobre, Huni Adawuraoma, Kpakpo Pamfro, among others.

Leaders of the communities are therefore calling for a halt in the sale of their farmlands since that is their livelihood. According to leaders of the 14 communities, which forms the Ashifla Stool fumed that, all their farms have been taken over by over 10 real estate companies rendering them employed.

They, therefore, met with the head of the Family, Joshua Attoh Quarshie, to intervene in the indiscriminate sale of farmlands. According to some of the sub-chiefs and leaders, the overall King has sold all their farmlands to KAS Estate to build residential apartments.
