The Member of Parliament for Tema East constituency in Greater Accra, Daniel Kwartei Titus Glover, has rewarded six elders of the New Patriotic Party in Tema for contributing significantly to the development of the party in Tema.

He explained that the awardees devoted their time and resources to build the Danquah, Dombo Busia tradition even at the peril of their lives in Tema.

Titus Glover expressed the believe that the recognition of the hard work of the six elders will inspire the youth in the New Patriotic Party to also sacrifice for the party.

The awardees are Mr. Samuel Evans Ashong Narh; former Member of Parliament for Tema East and former Mayor of Tema, Mr. Theophilus Adjetey Larbie, Mr. Baffour Anim Addo; former Constituency Chairman, Madam Gladys Naa Ashorkor L. Duadan; former Constituency Women Organizer, Lawyer Abraham Osei Aidoo; former Tema West MP and former Majority Leaders and Mr. Ishmael Ashittey; Greater Accra Regional Minister and a former MP for Tema East.

The awardees received plaque each and full piece of cloth.

In addition, Madam Gladys Naa Ashorkor L. Duadan received a cash of GHS5, 000 while Theophilus Adjetey Larbie, who is said to the driver of the first Member of Parliament for Tema Dr. Brew Kondua received GHS 2,000.

Hon Titus Glover, who eulogized all the awardees for their significant contributions to the development of the party, however commended Madam Gladys Naa Ashorkor L. Duadan for being the pillar behind the survival of the party in Tema.

” This Women has fought for the party in Tema ….She went into prison at the time she was nursing her baby and her only offense was that she was supporting Danquah Dombo Busia tradition. Madam Gladys really served the party well from Progress Party up to the time we form NPP and so I decided to honour her while she is alive,” he said.

He urged the youth to be prepared to serve the party and assured that they will be rewarded in due season.
