Techiman Chiefs Laud Mce At Annual Meeting

The Techimanhene Oseadeayo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, together with some of his sub chiefs has stressed the need for the Municipal Chief Executive to involve them in lobbying for development projects for the municipality.
The Techiman Traditional Council expressed this willingness to help the MCE win more development to Techiman at its annual meeting held last Friday to evaluate the state of development of Techiman.
According to the Chiefs, there have been a lot of successes in the past whenever the Chiefs are involved in negotiations with governments.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alex Kyeremeh, who for his part impressed the Chiefs with an excellent account of his performance for the year, also assured the chiefs that he would involve them and also take counsel from them as has always been the case.
It took him approximately an hour to outline the projects he has pursued during the year, mentioning projects from the education sector, Health, water and sanitation, roads, poverty reduction, security among others.
The chiefs who congratulated him immensely also took the opportunity to make development requests on behalf of their towns.
The chiefs were also particularly concerned about how peace would be maintained in the municipality amidst next year’s electioneering activities.
Hon. Alex Kyeremeh assured them of the formation of a peace council and the hard work of the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC). He also stated that the Inter- Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) was putting in place measures to ensure sanity during the elections next year.
