Teachers asked to impart moral values to children

Tamale, Oct. 10, GNA- Mr Chikpah Demuyakor, Northern Regional Director of Education has asked teachers to impart good moral values to their pupils.

He noted that children at their tender ages are influenced by the type and character of the teacher handling them because they are fast in learning new ideas.

Mr Demuyakor was speaking at the opening of a two-day workshop for teachers in the nursery and primary schools of the Northern Region Presbyterian Education Unit in Tamale on Friday.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) organized the workshop, which among others discussed preparation of lesson notes and methods of teaching.

The Regional Director warned teachers who are lazy to resign or be prepared to face the consequences. The Reverend Kwasi Addai Naami, Head of the Regional Presbyterian Educational Unit, asked teachers to update their lesson notes regularly and avoid using old notes to teach children.
