Teach your child to lead - Priest to mothers

Amakom Deanery Catholic Youth Chaplain who doubles as Parish Priest of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Appiadu in the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi; Rev. Fr. Bismarck Sarfo Prempeh has called on Mothers to teach their children to lead in the environs.

According to him, Mother's need to encourage and bless their children in time of difficulties than to curse them through pains.

He said parents can teach their children to be leaders through teaching them about teamwork, which is a significant component of leadership, focus on emotional intelligence to indicates how well they understand empathy and sympathy, teach them how to manage their finances, teach patience, give them time to be creative, instill the dangers of procrastination .

Speaking to Congregations at St. Peter's Catholic church, Emina on Mothers day aforementioned mothers to be a good example for their children.

Citing St. Monica for example said her child who became st. Augustine was difficult to control but through her prayers, motivation and her motherhood spirit, her son changed to become a great man who has contributed tremendously to the Catholic church.

He cautioned mother to be like St. Monica and be a pillar behind children irrespective of their attitude.

Rev. Fr. Bismarck advised mothers not to ignore their duties to make peace and cleanliness at their homes for that will make them a substance mother.
