Tamale Vodafone staff commiserates with Dakpema Regent

Staff of Vodafone Ghana in the Northern Region today pay homage on the Regent of Tamale Dakpema, Sulemana Mohammed Alhassan Dawuni to commiserate with him and the entire royal family of Dakpema.

The Chief of Tamale Nyab Dakpema Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan Dawuni joined his ancestors on 14th July 2018 following a short illness at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH).

The Regional Manager of Vodafone Ghana, Mr. Inusah Abdul Majeed who led the delegation to the Dakpema palace on behalf of the CEO of Vodafone Ghana Ms Yolanda Cuba said the late Tamale Chief was a very inspirational leader who have help to create a conducive environment many businesses in Tamale to flourish.

He said, the late chief was a man of peace and development oriented person who at all times wants the growth of the Tamale Metropolis, adding that, Vodafone Ghana had a very good relationship with the late Chief of Tamale and the Dakpema palace.

The Vodafone Manager revealed that, when the late Tamale Chief established the Dakpema Education Endowment Fund, Vodafone Ghana did not hesitate to provide the seed capital for the fund due to the late Chief zeal to develop the people of Tamale.

“The vision of the late Dakpema was in line with our (Vodafone Ghana) social and corporate responsibility to support sustainable initiatives that drive social change, improve people’s lives and solve pressing social needs”. He said

Mr. Abdul Majeed added that, Vodafone Ghana as part of its core social responsibility have since been making significant contribution towards the Dakpema Educational Endowment fund.

He therefore urged the Dakpema Regent not to hesitate to invite the Vodafone Ghana for the funeral rites of his father (late Dakpena Naa), as the whole Vodafone Ghana including the CEO Ms Yolanda Cuba is looking forward to the event.

The Regent of Dakpema Sulemana Mohammed Alhassan Dawuni expressed his profound gratitude to the Vodafone Ghana delegation and promised to invite them during the final funeral rites of his father, the late Dakpema.
