TMA donates Homowo in Tema

Tema, Aug.10, GNA -- The Tema Municipal Assembly (TMA) on Friday presented GH=A2300 (Three million cedis) and drinks to the Tema Traditional Council (TTC) towards this year's Homowo celebration. The drinks included four crates of soft drinks, four cartons of beer and two cartons of schnapps.

Mr David Quaye Annang, Tema Municipal Chief Executive, presenting the items, said the assembly had assisted the council in past celebrations. He called on the traditional leaders to unite during the celebration to maintain the peace being experienced in the harbour city. Mr Annang noted that Tema was the gateway to Ghana therefore; a peaceful atmosphere in the city would attract more investors. Nii Adjei Krakue II, Tema Mantse, receiving the items, assured the TMA of their preparedness to ensure peace during and after the festival. Nii Krakue urged the assembly to improve on sanitation in Tema by ensuring periodic refuse collection.

He expressed appreciation to the assembly for its support.
