Supporters expressed happiness after swearing in ceremony

Scores of Ghanaians on Monday commended security personnel for maintaining law and order throughout the inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama at the Black Star Square.

Some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) expressed their gratitude to the security personnel for exhibiting a high sense of professionalism.

Mr. Nicholas Tetteh from Upper Manya in Constituency in the Eastern Region expressed joy about the way the event was executed.

“I am overwhelmed at the way the security personnel maintained law and order at the Square. I thank the planning committee for a good job than. Am so impressed,” he said.

Mr. Adu Kodwo Joseph from the Brong Ahafo Region said, “I am so much impressed with the people of Ghana for giving the President the mandate to govern.”

Mr. Yaw Adjei, clad in NDC colors in a fashionable way, said President Mahama was able to use just three months to campaign and this has marked him out as a good leader.”

Mr. Augustine Williams congratulated Ghanaians and thanked God for the peace the nation continues to enjoy in a turbulent region; “we Ghanaians must always be grateful to God for the peace and unity in spite of our political differences”.

Madam Esi Yebaoh a trader said sale of NDC paraphernalia was still high few minutes after the end of the ceremony at the Independence Square; “we have made good sales today and wished the programme would have continued for another hour.”
