Suhum market women want security

Suhum (E/R) Sept. 22, GNA - Traders, operating at the Suhum Central Market had appealed to the Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District Assembly to provid= e adequate security at the facility to ensure their safety and that of their goods. Miss Juliana Aboagyewa, a spokesperson for the market women, told the thieves broke into my container at the market and made away all my goods"= .. She also said that about two weeks ago, thieves invaded the market in the night, broke into containers, stalls, and kiosks and made away with valuable goods belonging to the market women.

Miss Aboagyewa said the market had one watchman and called for the employment of more security personnel since the facility was one of the biggest in the Eastern Region, and attracted many people from various parts of the country. She also appealed to the assembly to fence round the market. Miss Aboagyewa said the market women pay their tolls regularly, and it was the duty of the assembly to provide adequate security at the place.
