Stanbic Bank fetes orphans at Trotor

Staff of Stanbic Bank, in partnership with the Citi FM Easter Orphan Project, has feted orphans at the Baptist School Complex and Orphanage in Trotor, a hamlet near Suhum in the Eastern Region.

The Staff of the Bank also donated GH¢9,000.00 clothes and shoes towards the Citi FM Easter Orphans Project.

The Citi FM Easter Orphan Project is an annual Corporate Social Responsibility Project which aims at supporting some of Ghana’s registered orphanages.

Citi FM and its donors have built a vocational training centre for the Baptist School Complex and Orphanage.

Some funds from this year’s Easter Orphan Project will be used to equip the training centre with the tools and equipment needed to facilitate proper training of the orphans, in the fields of carpentry, plumbing and hairdressing.

Stanbic Bank’s decision to partner Citi FM’s Easter Project stems from the Bank’s culture of sharing and caring.

Madam Linda Aryee, the Communications and Marketing officer at Stanbic Bank, said there would not have been a better way to celebrate Easter than to spend time encouraging and supporting the orphans to realize their dreams.

“Stanbic Bank always wants to help people move forward, and orphans are the most deprived group of people in society who need those help,” she said.

She said this is because, they need enough love, care, support and proper upbringing to enable them fit into society.

Mr Philip Ashong, the Operations Manager at Citi FM, was grateful for the Bank’s contribution towards the project.

“It’s been a fruitful relationship, which has grown better since last year. We can only say thank you to Stanbic because without them we wouldn’t have gotten the target that we set for ourselves this year,” he said.
