Shama Ahanta Metropolitan Assembly elects presiding member

Sekondi, Dec.22, GNA- Mr Edwin Philips, a Mechanical Engineer, has been re-elected as the Presiding Member of the Shama Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly (SAEMA).

Mr Philips and his main contestant, Dr. Francis Saighoe, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Coast had to contest the position for four consecutive times on Tuesday. On Wednesday however, Dr Saighoe decided to step down. Mr Philips thanked the members for the confidence reposed in him and appealed for their cooperation.
