See the four regions scheduled for power outages on September 30

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that selected towns in four regions in the country will experience power outages on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, due to planned maintenance works aimed at improving service delivery.

The regions marked for the maintenance works are Greater Accra, Volta, Central, and Ashanti Regions.

According to a widely circulated notice by the ECG, the maintenance exercise will take place between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm in most of the affected areas.

In the Greater Accra Region, areas expected to be affected include Pokuase Township, Satellite, Abor Kope, Toman, NIA Office, Golf House, Nestlé Ghana Ltd, North Dzorwulu, Cantonments, Caprice, Victory Bible Church, Kokomlemle, and surrounding areas.

Tema and neighbouring towns are expected to experience power outages from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The affected areas include Akuaba Estates, Jehovah Witness Assembly Grounds, Coastal Estates, Community 17, Bakeshop, Timber Market, Baatsonaa Basic Schools, Adjei Kojo, Community 24, King Solomon, and nearby towns.

Areas in the Volta Region expected to experience an outage from (9:00 am – 2:00 pm) are Worawora Hospital, Aposokubi, Asukawkaw, Dormabin, Katanga, Tokoroano, Adonkwanta, Kparekpare, Ayeremu, Dambai, and nearby communities.

In the Central Region, the outages will be experienced from (9:00 am – 4:00 pm) at Larota, Fiifi Pratt, Millennium Junction, Nyanyano Township, Kakraba, Ojobi, Akraman, Breku Township, Senya Township, Bonsuoku, Bontroase, Fetteh Township, and surrounding areas.

Ashanti Region will also experience power outages from (9:00 am – 5:00 pm) at Asuofua, Asamang, Achiase, Kokoben, Amoaman, Adugyama, Adankwame, Nketia, Kokoso, Adoato, Amanfrom, Ohwim, Hemang, Ampatia, Trede, Ampabame No.2, Darko, Sabin Akrofrom, Namong, Koforidua, Samproso, Aburokyire, Abuakwa, Kubease, Topre, part of Tanoso, Anomangye, Mpatasie, Asuogya, Daban Town, Cindys, part of Apraman, part of Sokoban, Toase, Gyankobaa, Bodwesango, Nkawie, Mpasatia, and neighbouring towns.

ECG has expressed regret for the inconvenience and assured customers that the maintenance works are essential to delivering a more reliable and efficient power supply in the long term.
