Security personnel urged to be vigilant during elections

Takoradi, Oct. 14, GNA - Mr Joseph Owusu Ansah, Assistant Superintendent of Police, has asked security personnel, especially the police to be vigilant to enable them to prevent violence before, during and after Election 2008.

He was speaking at a two day seminar on the theme "election monitoring", for police commanders and members of the national, regional and district election security taskforce, in Takoradi on Tuesday. Mr Owusu-Ansah urged security personnel to maintain law and order to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections and not to accept gifts at polling centres on 7 December.
