Sandvik Mining and Construction donates to Tarkwa Midwifery school

Sandvik Mining and Construction has presented a cheque for $10,000 to the Tarkwa Midwifery Training School.

Making the presentation on Wednesday, Mr. Andries Smith, project officer of the company, said the cheque was in fulfillment of a promise made by the company to help in the construction of a library for the school.

He assured authorities of the school that the company would continue to support the school.

Mr Robert Siaw, Sustainable Development Manager of Goldfields Ghana, expressed his gratitude to the company for its assistance towards the development of the Midwifery Training School.

Receiving the item Mrs. Peace Ivy Aananga, the Principal Nursing Officer in charge of the School, expressed gratitude for the company’s constant support towards uplifting the school. **
