The Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has unveiled an ambitious plan to partner with Russia’s Novosibirsk Region to revolutionise agriculture, water infrastructure, and renewable energy in her constituency.

The initiative, announced in a recent speech by the MP, aims to leverage Novosibirsk’s technological expertise to benefit Salaga South’s 15,000 farming families and 89 communities, while tapping into ECOWAS and AfCFTA frameworks for a broader regional impact.

The proposed partnership focuses on key areas such as introducing advanced agricultural mechanisation to boost crop yields, deploying Russian water drilling technology to ensure clean water access for all communities within three years, and establishing mini-solar plants to provide sustainable energy and jobs.
