SDA Church to equip all schools under its management

Agona (Ash), Sept 20, GNA - The headquarters of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the United States is to equip all schools under the management of the church.

In this regard, Agona SDA Secondary School is to be provided with a one-storey girls' dormitory block next year. Pastor Mathew Amo Bediako, Secretary of the General Conference (Worldwide) of the church, said this at the 11th triennial session of the Central Ghana Conference of the church at Agona in the Sekyere West District.

About 300 delegates from the Ashanti and Western attended the six-day programme.

Pastor Bediako appealed to members to live as Adventists and avoid behaviour that would tend to put the church into disrepute.

Nana Frimpong Anokye Ababio, the Paramount Chief of Agona Traditional Area, commended the church for contributing to education, especially for establishing the first accredited private university in the country.

He appealed to the church to equip the senior secondary school at Asante-Bekwai, extend facilities to the Agona SDA Secondary School and promised to release land for the school's expansion.
