Regent of Ashaiman introduced to the people.

Ashaiman, Sept. 23, GNA - Nii Annang Adzor, a 33-year-old building and civil contractor, was on Tuesday introduced to the people of Ashaiman as Regent of the town.

Known in private life as Mr Isaac Annang, Nii Adzor succeeds Nii Tetteh Amui II, Chief of Ashaiman, who died on May 13 at the age of 74 after reigning for 38 years. Speaking at the function Nii Adjei Kraku II, Tema Mantse, advised the Regent not to lord it over the people but to see himself as their servant.

He called for unity and co-operation between the traditional authority and the people to ensure development in the area Mr Addison Adinortey Numo, Ashaiman Municipal Chief Executive, assured the Ashaiman Traditional Council that the assembly would support their development initiatives to ensure the municipality's development. Nii Adzor thanked the people for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to live up to expectation.
