Rastaman found dead near farm

Ho, June 9, GNA- Yaw Agbinku, popularly known as Rastaman from Ho Heve, was found dead last Friday near a farm on the Ho-Adaklu road. Zembo Okoe, owner of the farm, was also found with a slashed arm on the farm in the early hours of the day.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Ho on the death, Togbe Dekortsu II, Apetorfia of Ho Heve, said the two were relations living in the same community.

He said Okoe reportedly went to the farm on Friday dawn and at about 0730 hours sent an message through his cell phone home that some people were attacking him and were about to kill him. Togbe Dekortsu said the youth of the community quickly traced Okoe to the farm where he was found in a pool of blood with a slashed arm. He said while looking for those who might have attacked Okoe, the youth found Agbinku lying dead near Okoe's farm. Togbe Dekortsu said Okoe was rushed to the Volta Regional Hospital at HO, and a report was made to the police who went for the body of Agbinku.

The Ho Municipal Police have confirmed the story to GNA but were tight lipped on the details because the tragedy was under investigations.
