Put nation ahead of partisan interest in 2015

The Reverend Collins Agyapong, District Pastor of the Four Garrison Pentecost Church in Kumasi, has urged Ghanaians to let the national interest take precedence over partisan political consideration.

“We all need to be more patriotic since that is the only way forward to bring progress,” he said.

Rev. Agyapong in a New Year message, expressed discomfort with what he called, ‘The penchant to politicize every single national issue’ and said that was unhelpful to socio-economic development.

He, however, noted that the nation was making good progress in its multi-party democratic governance.

Ghanaians have been able to tolerate each other and this is something, all should be proud of and make sure that it is sustained to deepen our democracy, he said.

He encouraged the political leadership to rely on God’s guidance in the choices and decisions that they would make.

He reminded all to have faith, trust in God and look into the future with hope and confidence.
