Pursue educational policies with zeal, says Educationist

Afrancho-Odumasi (Ash), July 9, GNA- The District Director of Education for Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma, Mrs Gladys Asumani, has said that it was only through education that the district could achieve progress in socio-economic life.

She, therefore, appealed to stakeholders in education in the district to work together to support children in the area to achieve greater heights in education.

Mrs Asumani, whose speech was read on her behalf at a fund raising ceremony in aid of the construction of a school block for Afrancho and Odumasi, said education had become costly but with perseverance the dreams of the people would come into reality. She appealed to the chiefs and the people of the two towns to support the numerous interventions the district had made to enhance teaching and learning in the area.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma, Mr Bright Addai-Munumkum, assured the teachers in Afrancho and Odumasi that the assembly would help to improve their conditions. The Assemblyman of Afrancho and Odumasi, Mr Samuel Sackitey, said through the effort of the community, Odumasi has a block of nine classrooms.

About 5.3 million cedis was realised at the ceremony.
