Prestea Huni/Valley MP registers constituents under NHIS

The Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni/Valley Constituency, Mr. Francis Adu Baly Koffie, has registered 1,200 people from his Constituency for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to enable them to get access to quality health care.

Mr. Koffie explained that the registration of his electorates for the NHIS formed part of his agenda of promoting health in every community in the district.

Mr. Koffie said as most of the people in the constituency depended on the NHIS to access health care, he decided to use part of his National Health Insurance Fund to embark on this exercise.

The MP urged the people to register for the scheme and commended the beneficiary communities for their zeal during the exercise.

Mr. Koffie said arrangements were far advanced to get more people, especially children, pregnant women, and the physically challenged in his Constituency registered for the NHIS.

The beneficiaries included adults and children from Number One Compound, Cocoa Shed, Broni Nkwanta, Afuke, Esase, Kwesi Kokor, Pewodie, Subrinkwanta and Fuleso.
