Prestea-Huni-Valley District Assembly institutes measures to improve education

Prestea(WR), April 23, GNA - Prestea-Huni-Valley District Administration is to introduce mock examination for BECE candidates with effect from next year to improve standard of education. Alhaji Jactur Mohammed Hardi, Prestea-Huni-Valley District Co-ordinating Director who announced this said "due to the low level of education in the district mock examination would be introduced as from next year for BECE candidates to help improve standard of education". He was speaking at a non-denominational church service for this year's BECE candidates in Prestea.

It was organised by Mr Francis Adu Blay Koffie, Member of Parliament for Prestea-Huni-Valley under the theme "Seeking the face of our beacon of hope to strengthen the pillars of our children". Mr Koffie advised the students to desist from immoral acts and reminded them that as future leaders much was expected from them by the society.

He called on parents to invest in their children's education not only financially but also help build their academic competence.
