Philanthropist puts 25 people on NHIS register at Kamgbunli

Kamgbunli (W/R), April 06,GNA-The NDC Propaganda Secretary in the Ellembelle District, Mr. Jibrew Alhassan-Naminn has registered 25 people with the National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS) from his own coffers at the cost of 183 Ghana Cedis.

These include 22 children below 18 years and 3 others above 18 years from his hometown, Kamgbunli for a-one year period. Speaking to the GNA later in an interview, Mr. Alhassan-Naminn said he was touched to assist disadvantaged children whose parents had wished but could not register them with the scheme.

The charity, according to him, will be done annually and will soon get to the turn of those in other towns of the district. Mr. Alhassan-Naminn underscored the importance of the scheme and advised Ghanaians to access the facility in their quest for affordable health care delivery in the country. He appealed to other philanthropists and benevolent organisations to help the under-privileged in society to register with the scheme. A beneficiary of the scheme, Master Morris Sipa Shaibu, on behalf of his colleagues, expressed gratitude to Mr. Alhassan-Naminn for the kind gesture. 6 April 10
