People of Wenchi-Koase Bosomaso building new palace

Bosomaso (B/A) Oct. 8, GNA - The people of Wenchi-Koase Bosomaso in the Techiman Municipality of the Brong Ahafo Region, are building a new palace, under a three-year development plan.

The 20,000 Ghana cedis project is being financed through contributions of 20 Ghana cedis by each citizen of the town. Nana Ameyaw Krompe, Krontihene of Bosomaso and coordinator of the project, announced these at the annual Formena yam festival of for the chiefs and people of Koase.

Nana Kofi Ankomah, Bosomasohene, and Asokwahene of the Techiman Traditional Area, appealed to citizens both home and abroad to donate in cash and kind towards the project.

He urged parents to send the children to school to enable them to acquire knowledge and skills needed for development and advised the youth to refrain from immoral practices.

Opanim Daniel Kyeremeh, Managing Director of the Nyamesom Yede Enterprise, advised the youth to respect people in authority and direct their energies into profitable ventures.

Nana Amenyaw Boateng, Chief of Twimia-Nkwata, who attended the event, said his people through self-help constructed a two-unit classroom block at the cost of GH 40,000 Cedis for the local Roman Catholic primary school.

He commended the Member of Parliament for Techiman South constituency and the Techiman Municipal assembly for contributing towards the project. Nana Boateng said plans were far advanced for the building of additional classroom blocks since the enrolment of children in schools in the area was high. 8 Oct. 08
