People in Winneba asked to give peace a chance-Bishop Ghunney

Winneba, May 12, GNA - The Bishop of Winneba Diocese of Methodist Church, the Right Rev Dr. Joseph Ekow Ghunney, has added his voice to calls on people of Winneba to bury their differences in the interest of the development of the town.

He said litigation retarded development and it was time the people spent their resources on the development of the area. Bishop Ghunney said this at a special thanksgiving service in Winneba for ensuring a peaceful celebration of the 93Aboakyre Festival."

The Festival was rounded off with a colourful durbar of chiefs and people.

Bishop Ghunney stressed the need for them to turn a new leaf since the long standing misunderstanding in the town had done more harm than good to the people. He appealed to those who incited people to create confusion in the area especially during Aboakyre festivals to put a stop to it.
