Pentecost Church donates to St Joseph Hospital

The Church of Pentecost, Effiduase English Assembly, has donated assorted items including food, toiletries, detergents and plastic chairs worth GH?1,200 to the St. Joseph Hospital in Koforidua.

The donation forms part of a week -long activity to mark the first anniversary celebration of the establishment of the English Assembly at Effiduase, a suburb of Koforidua.

Elder Dennis Amofah, who presented the items on behalf of the church, said the gesture was an indication of their social responsibility for the area.

He said apart from preaching the word, the church must also attend to the physical needs of the people to fulfill the gospel and expressed the hope that the items would benefit the patients of the hospital.

Reverend Brother James Boakye Yiadom, a representative of the hospital, who received the items, thanked the church for the humanitarian gesture and assured them that the donation would be used for the benefit of the patients.

The church also cleared weeds and gutters and the wards at the hospital premises under a special clean up exercise organised later in the day.
