Passion for Needy registers Frafraha Orphanage inmates on NHIS

Frafraha (G/R), Dec. 23, GNA - Passion for Needy, on Friday successfully registered 34 inmates of Christ People Forster Home, popularly known as Frafraha Orphanage, in the Greater Accra Region, under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

The charitable organisation which belongs to the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN), also donated two water tanks, Emmanuel TV decoder and satellite dish, 200 bags of sachet water, pastries, drinks and potable water supply to the Orphanage.

Mrs Janet Torbgor El-Aschker, Co-chairperson of the Passion for Needy, presenting the items said it was to show their concern for the needy in the society.

She called on Christians not to only to preach the Gospel but inspire more people to accept Christ.

Mrs Tobgor El-Aschker appealed to the society to show more concern for the needy during such celebrations.

She urged the children to believe in themselves and not allow their circumstance affect them but endeavour to excel in whatever they do.

Maame Araba Dadson, another Co-Chairperson of Passion for Needy, appealed to Christians never to stop giving, because it was a major tenet in Christianity.

Madam Henrietta Asare-Agyeman, Supervisor, Frafraha Orphanage, expressed appreciation to the NGO for their gesture, especially the water tank, which she said would help alleviate the perennial potable water supply at the Orphanage.
