Passion for Needy marks TB Joshua's birthday

Accra, June 17, GNA - Passion for Needy, a charitable organization, founded by Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of all Nations, on Friday celebrated the founder's birthday with the orphans and the inmates of the Accra Rehabilitation Centre in Accra.

The occasion was also used to present various food items worth GHC 2,000.00 to the Accra rehabilitation Centre, the Teshie and Nungua Orphanages and to also honour Nana Ofori Okor, Chief of Pra in Anomabo in the Central Region with a satellite dish for his enormous contribution to the NGO since it was established.

Nana Ofori Okor, also donated 50 acres of lands to the organisation for the establishment of a youth Training Centre and a home for the aged.

In a statement copied to the GNA on Friday, Mrs Janet Torgbor El-Aschker, Chairperson of Passion for Needy, noted the peculiar role played by Prophet T. B. Joshua in the establishment of the organisation hence the need to mark his birthday which fell on 12th June.

"The Senior Prophet brought the ideas, gave the seed money for the complete take off of the organization and through this we have been able to reach out to a lot of needy people in our society," the statement read.

Mr Joseph Kojo Attigah, Manager of the Rehabilitation Centre, on behalf of other beneficiary organizations thanked Passion for Needy for its kind gesture.

"We hope other institutions would also emulate this," the statement said.
