Residents in the Ho municipality of the Volta region are worried over recent frequent power outages in some parts of the municipality.

Speaking in an interview with Starrfm.com.gh they called on the government to come out boldly to state “if dumsor is back or not”.

“As you can see the place is dark nobody can see us in here, we have things in the fridge but the light is not there, we don’t know what they are doing, we want the government to tell us whether dumsor is back or not,” a shop keeper said.

“This dumsor is much than what happened under the previous government because under John Mahama they told us that it was dumsor but this people they are not saying anything, they keep saying technical problem,” a man also said.

Power has not been stable within the city for the past one week and some companies and houses have resumed to the use of generators and plants whilst those who cannot afford that fortune have no option than to stay without electrical power.

Meanwhile, there is no official communiqué concerning the power shortages.
