Pardon Alhaji Raji, he's ignorant... – Ransford antwi

Mr Ransford Antwi,Managing Director of Sun City Radio,a Sunyani – based FM station ,has called on all aggrieved parties against the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) chairman ,Alhaji Raji to cease fire and forgive him for some derogatory remarks he made against the Brong Ahafo region , at the just ended G6 soccer tournament held at Esipon ,in the Western Region.
He said the embattled chairman might by now learnt his lessons and would guard his utterances in future.
Speaking to the GNA in the wake of numerous calls for the head of the GHALCA chairman for his misdemeanor, Mr. Antwi however established that the Brong Ahafo Region was not a village at all as perceived by some people .He attributed the region's low profile to the innate humble, modest and loyal character of the people ,stressing that the region has great men and women achievers locally and globally but because they do not show off or delight in working at the background ,people down-play the region. We're naturally very modest, and are thought not to show off..he stated
The Media Magnate recounted that aside of the late Prof. Kofi Abrefa Busia,J.H Mensah, J.H Owusu Acheampong,Adjei darko among others, many personalities from the region have featured prominently in successive governments, thus contributing significantly towards the socio-economic and political development of Ghana, and the World at large .
According to him, Brong Ahafo is a lovely place and it is for this reason that many people who get transferred to the Region decide not to go back to where they come from. The facts are there, if people want to check.
While urging Ghanaians to desist from inflaming religious, ethnic and geographical disparities,Mr. Antwi called on all eminent personalities including traditional authorities in the Brong Ahafo Region to use their influence to ensure that the region gets its fair share of the national cake to make it more attractive and booming enough ,to erode such negative perceptions.
He also urged Ghanaians to respect each other, irrespective of religious, ethnic and geographical locations. "One does not need to be in Accra ,Takoradi,Kumasi or any booming town or region ,to realize his or her dreams .Sons and daughters of Brong Ahafo are making it big both locally and globally, and this must be noted and appreciated" , he stressed.
Alhaji Raji is said to have told some officials of Aduana Football Club who had reached the grand finale of the GHALCA organized G6 tournament, that the ultimate prize could not be taken to a village - inferring that the Brong Ahafo team did not deserve to win the tournament.
When the issue was made public, there have been great upheavals with many people calling for the resignation of Alhaji Raji for this leadership flaw.Berekum Chelsea have publicly announced their withdrawal from GHALCA in sympathy with Aduana and called on all Brong Ahafo clubs to follow suit.
