PTA, Muslim community provides electricity for school

Kranka (B/A) Feb. 13 GNA- The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the Islamic Primary School at Kranka in Nkoranza district of Brong Ahafo and the Muslim community are providing electricity to the school to enhance teaching and learning.

Mr. Abdulai Adu, PTA chairman, told Ghana News Agency at Kranka on Friday the project would cost about 1.5 million cedis. He said the parents were also constructing a place of convenience for the school.

The PTA Chairman called on the parents to ensure that their children stayed at home and study after school hours to enable them to improve their performance.

Mr Adu appealed to parents visit the school to share ideas with the teachers and encourage their children to learn hard.

He cautioned the pupils against attending video shows, dances and concerts, which could adversely affect their academic performance.
