P.A.A.C.A demonstration in kumasi on merchant bank – fortiz deal ready

The controversial sale of Merchant Bank to Equity fund, Fortiz, which attracted a demonstration on the streets of Accra last week, dubbed SAY NO TO ‘FORTHIEVES’ is expected to continue in Kumasi next week.

Public Action Against Corruption and Abuse (P.A.A.C.A) wishes to inform the general public that, arrangements have been made to embark on the demonstration in Kumasi on Thursday, 30th January, 2014. Following a lengthy and cordial interaction with the Ashanti Regional Police command, P.A.A.C.A can confirm that all is set for the demonstration to take place in Kumasi.
Participants are expected to converge at Aseme School Park near Golden Jubilee Park at 7:00am. Procession will begin at 8:00am from Aseme School Park through to Zongo Police Station to Roman Hill, in front of Kumasi Central Market. Procession will continue to Hello FM near Kejetia to Adum traffic light through to Kumasi Central Prisons near Police Headquarters. Procession will continue to Adum main Post Office through Kessben FM to Asafo Interchange to Labour Roundabout and back to Aseme School Park where demonstrators would be addressed by the leadership of P.A.A.C.A and other invited guests. The march is expected to end at 1:00pm.
