Okaikwei North MP donates PPEs to institutions in constituency

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Okaikwei North Constituency, Fuseini Issah, has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to health facilities and market centers in the constituency in the fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the area.

The items included 20 sets of Veronica buckets, boxes of hand sanitisers, boxes of anti-bacterial hand washing gel, 4,000 pieces of N95 nose masks, 4 boxes of disposable medical gloves pieces of jumbo tissue papers, a box of protective clothes and 10 temperature guns.

Hon Fuseini Issah during his third donation to his constituency indicated that it is his objective to provide ten thousand (10,000) locally manufactured face mask to people in his constituency and has therefore engaged dressmakers in the constituency to provide them out of which 2,000 pieces are ready.

He urged Ghanaians to wash and sanitize their hands at every opportunity they get and continue to abide by the directives of the President and the Ministry of Health.

The Deputy Head of Administration for the Achimota Hospital, Mr Frederick Ayipaala who received the items on behalf of the hospital said that, the PPEs has come at a good time as the health facility is spending a lot of it Internally Generations Funds (IGF) to purchase PPEs.

He also pleased with other institutions to donate more PPEs to the facility to help them in fighting the spread of Covid-19.
