Oguaahene calls for unity for accelerated development

Cape Coast, Jan 3, GNA - An appeal has gone to all citizens of Cape Coast to unite and contribute towards an accelerated development of the township.

Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, Omanhene of the Oguaa Traditional Area was unhappy that due to apathy, communal spirit was "fast deteriorating" in the township and therefore urged the people to bury their differences and make significant contributions towards the development of the area He made the appeal when he inaugurated a 30 million cedis lighting system for the Cape Coast Varrick A.M.E. Zion Church at the weekend. The members of the church provided the lighting system, through voluntary contributions.

Osabarima Atta announced that the traditional council had plans to renovate its palace and office complex and asked the citizens to contribute towards the project.
