Odeefo Boa Amponsem IV charts bold path for Denkyira's unity and development

The Denkyirahene, Odeefo Boa Amponsem IV, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to uniting and transforming the Denkyira Kingdom.

He has pledged to collaborate with all stakeholders to advance education, preserve cultural heritage, and drive sustainable economic growth across Denkyira communities.

Speaking at a royal dinner held in his honor, Odeefo Boa Amponsem IV underscored the importance of collective effort in achieving the vision of a prosperous Denkyira.

“I am for the upliftment of Denkyira, and I can’t do it alone. I will need each and every one of you, especially those here tonight,” he declared, drawing applause from the gathering of traditional leaders, dignitaries, and well-wishers.

Outlining his transformative agenda, the Denkyirahene announced plans for a biannual Homecoming Festival aimed at reconnecting Denkyiras across the world.

The festival, he explained, will unite Ghanaian citizens living in Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries to celebrate their shared heritage and strengthen bonds within the global Denkyira community.

Highlighting the widespread presence of Denkyira descendants across Ghana, Odeefo Boa Amponsem IV revealed that the people of Denkyira make up significant portions of several regions — approximately 75% in Ashanti, 85% in Bono, 45% in Western, and 45% in Eastern regions, among others.

As part of his development agenda, the Denkyirahene also announced the establishment of the Odeɛfoɔ Educational Fund, a scholarship scheme designed to support brilliant but needy students within Denkyira.

The initiative, he said, will be complemented by programs to improve healthcare access and equip young people with employable skills through training and vocational centres.

“Education, health, and youth empowerment will remain central to Denkyira’s growth agenda,” he stressed.

“Together, we can build a stronger and more progressive Denkyira for future generations," he added.

The royal dinner drew a distinguished audience of chiefs, opinion leaders, business executives, and development partners, all of whom pledged their support for Odeefo Boa Amponsem IV’s vision of unity and progress.

The event marked another significant step in the Denkyirahene’s ongoing effort to reposition Denkyira as a vibrant, united, and development-oriented kingdom within Ghana’s traditional and national framework.
