Nyinahin Traditional Council demands the dismissal of DCE

Nyinahin (Ash), Sept. 28, GNA – The Nyinahin Traditional Council has appealed to President John Evans Atta Mills to sack the Atwima-Mponua District Chief Executive (DCE) for non-performance, arrogance and abuse of power.

The chiefs said the actions and inactions of Mrs Theresa Adomako Tawiah were making the government unpopular and the sooner the appointing authority acted the better.

Addressing a press conference at Nyinahin, Nana Amanpene Boateng Twum II, Nyinahinhene, said the continued stay in office of the DCE is unhelpful to the peace and development of the area.

The council made a litany of accusations against her, including vindictiveness, disrespect for traditional rulers and, indifference to the alarming illegal timber operations in the area and frustrating community development initiatives.

The DCE refused to comment on the accusations when she was contacted by the Ghana News Agency.
