Nyagbo-Odumasi gets new school building

Nyagbo-Odumasi (V/R), Jun 11, GNA - Mr Joseph Z. Amenowode, the Volt a Regional Minister, has

reiterated his administration's resolve to assist communities that demonstrate exceptional communal

spiritedness towards the execution of development projects. "As the Bible teaches, Heaven helps those who help themselves, my administration would assist

zealous communities which yearn for development", he said. Mr Amenowode said this at the inauguration of a six-unit classroom block with office, library and

store worth 160,000 Ghana cedis for the Nyagbo-Odumasi Cluster of Schools .. The project, which was initiated by Professor James Asegbe, a lectur er at a Florida University in the

US, was supported by "Friends from the Diaspora", a non-profit making organisation. Mr Amenowode, also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hohoe-South, donated 150 bags of cement

towards the project with the Hohoe Municipal Assembly bearing 65,000 Ghan a Cedis of the total cost. Mr Victor-Hermann Condobrey, the Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, sai d the President's agenda for a

"Better Ghana" was on course and urged all and sundry to support it with zeal. Mr James Foli, acting Headteacher of the School, said the new build ing would translate into

improved academic performance. Togbe Osunu VI, Chief of Nyagbo-Odumas,i thanked the financiers for their benevolence and appealed

for the construction of a kindergarten and the rehabilitation of the old Junior High School block.
