Nursery child crashed to death, two injured in Adugyama timber truck accident

A nursery pupil has been crushed to death by a heavy-duty truck loaded with lumber at Adugyama in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, when the truck, carrying large cyber logs, reportedly lost control and spilled its load at Aburaso near Adugyama.

According to a 3news.com report on October 29, 2025, the deceased, identified as Daniel, was walking home from school with two other pupils when the accident happened.

The logs fell from the vehicle with registration number GE 9901-11, trapping the children beneath.

Truck runs over 5 pupils

Daniel was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bechem Hospital, while the two others sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at the same facility.

An eyewitness told journalists that the logs rolled off the moving truck and crushed the children.

“Daniel and two others were walking by the roadside when the timber fell. It killed him instantly,” the resident recounted.

Police have since cordoned off the area and have launched investigations into the cause of the accident.
