Nsawkaw gets new chief

Nsawkaw (B/A), Dec. 21, GNA - Dasebere Kutu Ayim Baffour II, 47, has been installed chief of Nsawkaw, capital of the newly created Tain District in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

The new chief, known in private life as Mr Samban Kwasi Ameyaw, succeeded his uncle Osabarima Twum Barima Ameyaw who died a year ago. Dasebere Baffour urged thanked the people for the confidence reposed in him and asked them to unite and support him for the socio-economic development of the area.

He appealed to the government to establish a senior secondary school at Nsawkaw to enhance education and to upgrade the clinic into a hospital.

Dasebere Baffour commended the New Patriotic party (NPP) government for creating the new district, and undertaking development projects, including the extension of electricity to the town.

He called on the people in the area to support the government in its effort to put the economy on a sound footing.
