Northern Floods: Dr Bawumia leads relief support to victims

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia is leading relief efforts in his home regions where flood occasioned by spillage of Bagre dam has led to loss of lives and displacement of thousands of people.

Dr Bawumia who is a son of the North arrived in the Upper West Regional capital to donate items worth thousands of cedis.

The second gentleman of the land landed in the regional capital around 7:40 am and is set to support victims of the near fatal flood with some items at a brief ceremony.

The Vice President is also expected to receive a brief from NADMO, the Navy and other rescue operations teams on the situation on the ground.
