Nkoranza North DCE urges members to avoid anonymous letter writing

Nkoranza (B/A), April 29, GNA - Madam Grace Obeng Donkor, Nkoranza North District Chief Executive (DCE), has advised Assembly Members and traditional authorities to guard against anonymous letter writing to help promote peace and tranquillity in the district.

She expressed regret that anonymous letter writing was a common practice in the area, which had affected the development of the district. Madam Donkor said this at separate meetings with chiefs and people of Dromankuma, Taaho, Boama and Adumasa during her maiden visit to the communities.

She urged the Assembly members and opinion leaders to point out her mistakes to her to ensure that the right things were done. Madam Donkor said they needed to collaborate to initiate programmes that would bring some improvement in the lives of the people. She advised the youth of the various political parties to be disciplined in their electioneering campaigns to avoid creating unnecessary confusion.

Mr. Benjamin Adu Darko, Presiding Member, appealed to the people to pay their taxes promptly to enable the Assembly to generate enough resources to complete more development projects. He said the new district was faced with teething problems and there was the need for the people to play their respective roles and offer the necessary support towards its development. Mr. Darko called on the youth to bury their political differences and forge ahead in unity to fasten the pace of development of their communities.
