Nkawkaw Secondary School is undertaking a 15- million-cedi projects

Nkawkaw, (E/R), Oct.23, GNA- The Management of Nkawkaw Secondary School (KAWSEC) in the Kwahu South District is undertaking a number of projects worth 15 million cedis to enhance the school's development.

The projects include the construction of a wall around the school, construction of a metal gate at its main entrance, painting of the boy's and girl's dormitories and the two main classroom blocks.

The Headmaster of the School, Mr Joseph Nana Asante, who disclosed this to GNA in an interview on Thursday, said the projects are being financed from the school's internally-generated funds and assistance from the District Education Office and therefore, appealed to the district assembly and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for assistance.

He said the school has been selected as one of the model schools where a number of infrastructure would be constructed to increase admission.

The Headmaster commended the PTA for donating a number of sanitary tools worth two million cedis to promote environmental, sanitation in the school and is also mobilising funds to purchase a 45-seater bus for the school.

The Assistant Headmaster of the School, Mr. Obeng Boateng said the school had also instituted effective measures to enhance discipline and academic performances.
