The Supreme Head of the Gbese Sonmenaa, Nii Doku III, has extended his annual educational support to newly admitted Senior High School (SHS) students within the Gamashie area, reaffirming his commitment to promoting education and empowering the youth.

The essential learning and boarding materials were presented to the students on behalf of the Supreme Head of the Gbese Sonmenaa, who also doubles as the Sempe Muslim Akwashongtse.

The items distributed included student mattresses and trunks.

This year’s donation was themed “Giving Back to the Community – 2025 SHS Donations.”

Addressing parents and students at a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of the Gbese Sonmenaa Family House, Nii Doku III explained that the gesture forms part of his continuous efforts to promote education within his community.

He stated that the donation covers all students, particularly the needy, from the Gamashie area who have gained admission to various boarding schools.

According to him, the ceremony also provides an opportunity to inspire and motivate students to remain disciplined, study hard, and become responsible citizens.

The Supreme Head further assured his continuous commitment to supporting his community, emphasising that his leadership and philanthropic efforts extend beyond Gamashie to all individuals in need of assistance.

“As leaders, generosity must be demonstrated through service and the empowerment of others,” he remarked.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to stay focused on their studies, describing education as a vital tool for success. He also urged parents to invest in their children’s education by providing the necessary materials and emotional support to enhance their learning.

Parents at the event expressed their gratitude to Nii Doku III for his benevolence and pledged to monitor their children’s progress to ensure they take their education seriously.

The newly admitted SHS students, visibly excited, also expressed appreciation to the Supreme Head for his kindness and promised to uphold discipline and hard work as they begin their academic journey.

Nii Doku III was commended by community members and elders for his continuous support toward education and youth empowerment within the Gamashie area.
