New DCE for Jasikan calls on chiefs

Jasikan (V/R), Nov 5, GNA- Nana Yaw Osei Brentuo V, Chief of Jasikan, has commended the government for awarding the rehabilitation of the Hohoe-Jasikan and the Jasikan town roads on contract at a cost of 12 billion cedis.

Nana Brentuo, who is also the Benkumhene of the Buem Traditional Area, made the commendation when Mr Solomon Kwame Donkor, the new Jasikan District Chief Executive, paid a courtesy call on him. He advised the DCE to forget the problems that erupted after his nomination by the President and unite the people in the district to enhance the development of the area.

Nana Brentuo urged his people to rally behind the government to enable it complete its campaign promises.

He appealed to the government to take steps to complete work on the telephone facility in the area. Mr Donkor thanked him and the people of the district for the trust reposed in him and promised to help develop the district. The DCE paid a similar call on Nana Owusu Akuamoah VII, Chief of Kudje and Nifahene of the Buem Traditional Area.
