Many Ghanaians lately have taken a keen interest in their diet and health in general. Gone are the days when people had no idea about hypertension, diabetes, among others. Today, most of us are careful about what we eat and what times we eat such.

It is in this vein that registered dietician, Nana Kofi Owusu, has written a simple-languaged nutrition book to address most of the health issues he has encountered in his many years of experience.

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) lecturer has spoken on good/bad nutritional practices on several media platforms and is widely known as a credible authority on such matters.

His book, Nutritional Pills For Life, touches on some sensitive nutritional topics and food fads which we have always believed to be true yet scientifically false.

Speaking to Scribe News, the regular guest on UTV’s Morning show confided, “Do you know that plantain never contains high levels of iron as we have always been made to believe? Do you know that avocado pear has no cholesterol as people claim it does? Get to know this and other interesting nutritional facts to help you eat to live by getting a copy of my book.”

The launch of Nutritional Pills For Life takes place at PIWC Dansoman on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 3pm prompt. The event is going to be a potpourri of exciting health talk, soothing music and soul-inspiring spoken word.

The author of the book whose foreword was written by health experts across the world had this to say in conclusion. “Life is precious. Eat to live. See you at the launch.”
