NPRA appoints Owusu-Darko as head

The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) has appointed Mr Kofi Anokye Owusu-Darko, a Chartered Professional Administrator, as Acting Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Owusu-Darko’s appointment takes retrospective effect June 22, a statement signed by Mrs Rita Afua Adzovie and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said.

Mr Owusu-Darko takes over from Mr Laud A.K. Senanu, former Acting Chief Executive Officer.

A brief profile of Mr Owusu-Darko indicates that he is a Chartered Banker, licensed Management Consultant and a qualified Organisation Development Practitioner.

Mr Owusu-Darko is a certified International Professional Manager (IPMA-UK), with a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (ACCA-UK), and Executive MBA in Information Technology Management and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Information Technology and Telecommunication from the Glasgow School of Law (University of Strathclyde).

The statement said Mr Owusu-Darko has conducted organisation assessments leading to diagnosis of culture, team effectiveness and organisational effectiveness, as well as dynamic team-building and strategic planning interventions.

It said Mr Owusu-Darko has also facilitated workshops in advanced negotiations and conflict management and is an examiner in organisation development and change with the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants.

Mr Owusu-Darko according to statement has published articles in the media on legal issues on the deployment of information technology in Ghana, because of his love for research and writing.

“Kofi Anokye Owusu-Darko joins NPRA with rich, transferable professional skills and invaluable expertise,” the statement said.
